Plastic surgery procedures are not the most recommended choice when it comes to choosing a breast enhancement method. Plastic surgery procedures have the disadvantages of entailing many serious risks. Some of these risks are the same as the risks entailed by any other type of operation: allergy to anaesthetics, poor performance of the surgeons, problems with anaesthetics or with tool sterilization.

Other risks have to do with the plastic surgery procedure itself. Plastic surgery procedures may entail the risk of resulting in an infection. Sometimes there may be ruptures on the implants placed on breasts, and these ruptures may be a cause of infection. If the liquid that leaks from implants has some fungi or bateria, an infection will develop in the breasts. Infections in the breasts are very risky.

Not only because they may damage breast tissue, but also because they can spread the infection to the lungs or other vital organs. Apart from these disadvantages, breast implants do not last forever. Most women who have been through this kind of surgery have to undergo the procedure again after some years. Breast implants lifetime is usually between 7 and 10 years, depending on the quality of the material used.

If you are not sure about having a plastic surgery, you should consult a surgeon and talk to other women who have already undergone this type of procedure. Bear in mind that if you do not want to undergo a surgery, there are many other methods to increase breast size.
